The upside to fashion photography: You get to shoot some really cool stuff with really cool people. The downside to fashion photography: You can't show anyone until the designer launches the collection many months later. I shot this lookbook in February. It's finally September, and most of this collection is now available at specialty stores throughout the U.S., including CorePower Yoga, Luke's Locker and Yoga Works. So, without further ado, here's the latest from L.A.-based designer Rebecca Michaels. Modeled by Makaela Maran and Tiara Denise. Makeup and hair by Alfred Mercado.
Two weekends, four sunrises, one sunset, one photographer and one model. That's what it took to shoot Rebecca Michaels' spring 2015 lookbook. Unlike previous shoots, however, Rebecca modeled this collection herself — doing what she always does, in her own neighborhood (which also happens to be my neighborhood), in her own apparel. Although the collection is still under wraps, here's a sneak peek that doesn't reveal too much. Cheers!
This shoot was very near and dear to my heart. I shot this editorial lookbook for Rebecca Michaels' spring 2014 collection last July with an amazing crew of women who, among other things, were unafraid to walk the streets of downtown Los Angeles in bare feet and change clothes in the back seat of an SUV. This stunning collection is now available online and at specialty stores throughout the United States. Models: Newsha Mostafavi, Paydin LoPachin and Tiara Denise.
